One person’s dilemma is someone else’s dream. Viju and I spent three days this week with a wonderful assortment of real estate investors and our partners in Next Million Mastermind, NextMilMastermind.com. The cohorts gathered ranged from never having done a deal to some who earn seven figures.

Why were they gathered? Because they’re looking for their first or next million. The pulse of the room was exhilarating as they described their family and work history, their results in 2023 and where they want to be by third quarter 2024.

But if you were sitting there and heard one of the want-to-be investors describe a seven-figure business (not real estate) and the desire to possibly put it on the back burner to jump into real estate, you might say: “What, are you kidding me?”

Or the real estate sales associate with well over thirty million in sales last year. Because of the intense personal time required for such business, this cohort needs to build a hefty passive income in order to, someday soon, pull back from the daily grind. You might be envious of this challenge, as many in the room were, but the need is genuine.

We naturally see everything relative to where we are. You might think someone’s situation is a not a problem compared to your circumstances. The goal of these sessions is to get participants to the next step or level, where they want to be. Take lessons from another's experience but don't spend valuable time counting their money.

The sessions resulted in a specific plan for each participant based on objective input from cohorts and facilitators. The participants deemed it invaluable. As facilitators, we were truly touched by the stories of struggle and success and amazed at what we all accomplished together.
